What is Direct Delivery

Direct Delivery, defined.

Direct Delivery (BC cannabis)

Direct Delivery is a British Columbia program that allows licensed craft producers to ship cannabis products directly to licensed retailers. It runs alongside BC Liquor Distribution Branch wholesale, giving retailers access to craft producers and SKUs that may not be available through standard BCLDB channels.

For retailers, that means access to producers, cultivars, and small-batch releases that the BCLDB catalogue does not carry. Direct Delivery does not replace your BCLDB workflow. It runs alongside it. You order what you want from each channel and stock the catalogue your customers actually want to buy.

Why VCC's craft

What's inside the box.

Direct Delivery is a distribution model. The question for your shelf is what is actually arriving. Here is what defines VCC’s catalogue.

01

Proprietary phenos

G-Wagon, After Eighth, Pomelo Skunk, Roll-X, Rainbow Marker. Phenotypes hunted and selected in-house at VCC. Genetics you stock from us are genetics nobody else carries — exclusive to your shelf in your market.

02

Pre-rolls rolled on-site

Straight-cut pre-rolls produced at the same facility where the flower is grown. No third-party processor. No flower shipped out and back. No cone-stuffing. Fresh from the cure room to the joint to your shelf, in days.

03

Traditional Market roots

VCC’s cultivation experience predates legalization. The pheno-hunting discipline, the cure standards, the hand-trim defaults — all of it comes from BC’s Traditional Market era. That depth shows up in the product, and it shows up in the conversation when your budtenders talk to customers who know craft.

Side by side

BCLDB wholesale vs. VCC Direct Delivery.

Direct Delivery is not a replacement for BCLDB. It is a second channel that gives your shelf access to things standard wholesale cannot offer. Here is what each does well.

BCLDB Wholesale VCC Direct Delivery
How they work together Your default wholesale channel. Carry it as you always have. Runs alongside BCLDB. Use it to add craft SKUs and exclusive drops standard wholesale doesn't carry.
Catalogue Broad provincial catalogue across all LP scales and product categories. Full VCC craft catalogue, including proprietary phenos and small-batch drops.
Producer contact Order through the BCLDB wholesale portal. Direct line to the VCC team. Facility tours available for retail partners.
Pre-roll production Varies by producer. Cone-stuffed format is common at scale. Straight-cut pre-rolls rolled on-site at the same facility where the flower is grown.
Drop schedule visibility Retailer sees new SKUs when they hit the wholesale catalogue. Advance notice on every cultivar release. Plan shelf space and marketing around it.
Budtender education Producer sell sheets through standard wholesale channels. Cultivar briefings, terpene notes, and the production story your team can pass to customers.

Who grows your shelf

The cultivator behind every cure date.

“Craft is not a label you put on a bag. It is a decision you make every step of the cycle, from clone selection to cure.”

Victoria Cannabis Company operates on a Health Canada micro-cultivation licence with a standard processing licence. Every cultivar in our catalogue is grown, harvested, hand-trimmed, cold cured, and rolled at our Victoria facility. No outsourced trim. No third-party pre-roll processor. No drum-tumbled flower. No cone-stuffing.

The cultivation discipline behind that workflow predates legalization. VCC’s roots are in BC’s Traditional Market, where craft credibility was earned through pheno-hunting, cure standards, and hand-trim defaults. That depth carried directly into how we operate today. When you order through Direct Delivery, you talk to the people who actually run the rooms.

What partners can expect

Your concerns, answered upfront.

Switching distribution paths is not a small decision. Here is what we commit to before you fill out the form, not after.

Sample order policy

Approved partners can place a small first order to evaluate fit before committing to standard volume. No pressure to scale before your shelf data tells you to.

Cure date transparency

Every order ships with batch documentation including harvest date, cure duration, and lab results. You know exactly what is on the truck before it arrives.

Delivery commitment

Orders confirmed within 24 business hours. Delivery windows agreed upfront. Vancouver Island and Lower Mainland on priority routing. Rest of BC scheduled by route.

Direct producer contact

You get a direct line to the VCC team, not a call centre. Questions about a batch, a cultivar, or a drop schedule go straight to the people who can answer them.

Right-sized minimums

Order minimums built for craft retail. We work with you on volumes that match your sell-through. No artificial floors that punish smaller stores.

No exclusivity lock-in

Direct Delivery does not require you to drop your current suppliers. Use it alongside BCLDB and other producers. Your catalogue, your call.

Common questions

Direct Delivery, answered.

Direct Delivery is a BC program that lets licensed micro-cultivators ship cannabis directly to licensed retailers. It runs alongside BCLDB wholesale and gives retailers access to craft producers and exclusive cultivars that may not appear in the BCLDB catalogue.

Three things. Our cultivars are proprietary phenotypes hunted and selected in-house at VCC. Our straight-cut pre-rolls are produced on-site at the same facility where the flower is grown, with no third-party processor in the chain. And VCC’s cultivation experience predates legalization, with roots in BC’s Traditional Market that inform every production decision.

Some VCC products are available through BCLDB, but our limited drops, proprietary phenos, and small-batch releases run through Direct Delivery only. Retailers who want full access to the VCC catalogue order direct.

Any licensed cannabis retailer in British Columbia can order through Direct Delivery from a participating cultivators. VCC delivers across BC, with priority routing for Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland.

VCC ships whole flower and straight-cut pre-rolls through Direct Delivery. Current cultivars include G-Wagon, After Eighth, Pomelo Skunk, Roll-X, and Rainbow Marker. New drops are released on a rolling cultivar schedule.
