Located in Victoria West, a stones throw from the Inner Harbour on Vancouver Island.
While the business has only been operating since fall of 2020, the Victoria Cannabis Company is guided by a team whose commitment to excellence in the industry has roots reaching as far back as 25 years. The legacy of this experience informs and augments our every decision, resulting in a tangible level of quality that makes our product shine.
The Victoria Cannabis Company is comprised of two micro-cultivation facilities and one nursery. This fosters our ability to enrich the cannabis market with the finest quality product that our skilled team can yield. We grow traditional quality BC craft cannabis on Vancouver Island in the territory of Lekwungen (Songhees Nations).

Genotype Hunting
At the Victoria Cannabis Company hunting for new and unique flavour profiles is an obsession.
We believe there is a balance between maintaining tried and trusted profiles developed in the Legacy Market with that of creating and discovering new flavours not yet available. For us, flavour comes first and lab results come second. If a plant hits, it hits. No arbitrary THC metrics, flowering times or yield weights guide what we want to share with our consumers.

We whole plant hang dry and hand trim…as all craft flower should be. All of our flower is then cold-cured in order to preserve as many compounds that makeup the unique flavour of the flower as possible. We use a water activity metre to accurately gauge when the best time to send the flower to final packaging is to ensure a clean even cure. From harvest to consumer packaging is a minimum of 8 weeks….cultivar dependent.
For lighting we are all in on LED technology. The wider spectrums, the lack of excessive heat created, decreased energy cost and the ability to dial in the intensity helps to create high cannabinoid high terpene flower at costs that help get our product to a wider audience.
Our HVAC system was fully designed by Robert Shannon. With over 10 years of running one of the most progressive HVAC companies in Canada, Cascadia, Rob brought his specialised knowledge of indoor environmental control to our site. While the control of the environments in the Flowering and Nursery Rooms immediately come to mind, equally important is the Drying and Curing Rooms. Our ability to adjust humidity, temperature and air movement specific to the chemical makeup of individual cultivars is a key factor in being able to put out the highest quality flower we can.

Taylor King, our Cultivation Manager has made a career understanding the nuances of soilless hydroponic farming. Since joining the team he, along with a dedicated team of like minded individuals have designed a system that will allow our team to get the very best out of the flower.
