When people talk about Victoria Cannabis Company, they’re really talking about the people behind it. Our team of small batch growers and traditional cannabis experts in Victoria BC, sets us apart from corporate grows provincially and nationwide. We’re not just licensed producer staff in BC—we’re hands-on cultivators, educators, and lifelong students of the plant.
This team blends deep roots in the traditional cannabis farm teams BC is famous for, with today’s legal framework. We work every day to honour the traditions we came from while raising the bar on what the regulated industry can be. From our production team to the folks at our Victoria storefront to our sales and retail partners nationwide, everything you see from VCC is powered by people who care deeply about quality and community. In this article you’ll meet the growers, the communicators, and the operators that make VCC tick.
What connects us?
A shared belief that cannabis is culture, craft, and connection—and that it deserves more than corporate shortcuts. We grow, cure, roll, and package everything ourselves.
No stock formulas.
No mystery flower.
Just great craft cannabis, grown right.
Before we were a licensed producer, we were growers, trimmers, and terp hunters. The Victoria Cannabis Company team is built on lived experience with cannabis—and it shows in every jar and pre-roll we put our name on.
Today, we bring together the best of both worlds: legacy knowledge and modern compliance. From small batch techniques to full transparency, our crew understands what makes a cultivar worth celebrating—and how to deliver that to you with consistency and care. When you’re touring the farmgate store or lighting up a VCC pre-roll, you’re getting something real.
Taylor King fell in love with the plant before he was old enough to grow it. As a longtime consumer turned professional cultivator, he brings a rare level of passion and precision to every crop. Today, as Head Grower at VCC, Taylor is responsible for the full lifecycle of our flower—from seedling to harvest to final cure. If you’ve ever commented on how smooth or flavourful our flower is, you’ve already met his work.
In 2019, Jamee Coubourgh survived a car accident that left her with a seizure condition—and a long road of failed pharmaceutical treatments. Cannabis changed her life. Within two months of switching to plant-based medicine, her symptoms began to fade. And her purpose began to sharpen.
Today, Jamee manages our Victoria farmgate retail store and is a passionate voice for cannabis education, regulatory change, and compassionate customer service. She helps make VCC’s storefront one of the most trusted spots for cannabis in BC.
With a background in plant biotechnology and food manufacturing, Graeme Holfeld has spent the last eight years shaping cannabis businesses from the ground up. He helped lead Broken Coast through two major mergers and now brings that operational excellence to VCC.
As General Manager, Graeme thrives on the full-circle integration of our company: we grow it, process it, roll it, and sell it—all under one roof. That kind of seed-to-sale connection is rare, and Graeme ensures it stays that way.
Kyp Rowe’s cannabis story spans over 40 years and nearly every role you can imagine: traditional grower, seed bank operator, retailer, brand director—and now, VCC’s voice to the world. He’s travelled internationally thanks to cannabis and continues to steward its cultural roots with reverence.
Kyp brings both traditional market integrity and marketing chops to the table. He’s here to make sure the story behind the flower is just as compelling as the smoke itself.
Every member of our craft cannabis team in Victoria is here because they love this plant—plain and simple. We’ve got decades of combined experience, a deep respect for BC’s cannabis heritage, and a shared goal of offering you the best cannabis possible without the fluff.
From choosing genetics to dialing in the cure, there’s no part of the process we don’t obsess over. Our jobs don’t stop when the plants are harvested—they continue through rolling, packaging, educating, and evolving with the community.
When you light up VCC, you’re not just enjoying great flower.
You’re joining a crew that lives and breathes the craft—every single day.
